My client is seeking a commercially astute Head of Pre-Construction to join its growing Housing Partnerships team.

This is a pivotal leadership role, managing the pre-construction process across planned maintenance, retrofit and decarbonisation projects within the social housing sector.

Acting as the link between clients, operations, commercial and bid teams, you will play a key role in securing, shaping and mobilising projects for successful delivery.

We're open to candidates from a variety of backgrounds, including Managing Quantity Surveyors, Commercial Managers, Operations Managers, Bid Managers and Pre-Construction professionals who possess strong social housing experience and a commercial mindset.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the bid and pre-construction process from enquiry through to contract award.

Work closely with operational, commercial and bid teams to develop winning solutions.

Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the customer journey.

Ensure opportunities are commercially viable and accurately costed.

Support the delivery of planned maintenance, refurbishment, retrofit and decarbonisation programmes.

Drive continuous improvement across pre-construction activities.

Proven experience within the social housing sector.

Strong understanding of planned maintenance, retrofit and decarbonisation projects.

Commercially focused with excellent financial awareness.

Able to engage confidently with clients, stakeholders and internal teams.

A natural leader capable of bringing teams together to achieve successful outcomes.
