Job Responsibility:
Opportunity information Duration 24 months Description Assist and learn from stylists how to provide Hair It Is hairdressing services to our valued clientele, and support other salon members with their duties while achieving your Apprenticeship in Level 2 Hairdressing.
The apprentice will complete routine tasks in the initial stages of the job, which might include helping professional hairstylist managers with client preparation and the application and removal of simple hairdressing treatments. Apprentices also help hairdressers with shampooing as well as sterilising and maintaining equipment. As the apprentice gains more experience, they will complete more complicated tasks.
Salon responsibilities:
- Keeping up to date with new collections within the salon and the hairdressing industry
- Performing skin testing before chemical services and recording appropriately
- Wearing required personal protective equipment and other Health and Safety procedures.
- Assisting stylists with preparing clients for and during the service being provided, this may include neutralising, removing colours, and blow-drying hair under supervision if required.
- Housekeeping, keeping the salon tidy, and adhering to health and safety procedures.
Entry requirements GCSE Maths and English Grade C/4 or above. Predicted grades will be accepted. To be eligible for this apprenticeship, you must meet the following residency criteria: You must have lived in the UK, the British Overseas Territories, or Crown Dependencies (Channel Islands and Isle of Man) for at least three years prior to the start of the apprenticeship
Training to be provided Hair Professional Level 2 Training with Milton Keynes College. Ongoing training, support and development with the employer.
