MJP Solutions are looking for a Fire Alarm Installation Engineer ideally based in Essex. I am working with a family run business and due to continued growth they are looking for a Fire Alarm Installation Engineer to join the team. This role requires solid all-round experience within fire alarms to ensure compliance with industry standards and deliver excellent customer service. You will be working across both commercial and domestic sites, installing and maintaining fire alarm systems, carrying out fault finding, and completing repairs. The role will involve working independently as well as part of a team on larger projects.
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence
- Good working knowledge of BS5839 Part 1
- Experience working with fire alarm systems
- Strong understanding of fire safety regulations
- Willingness to continue learning and stay up to date with industry standards and qualifications
- Experience carrying out servicing in line with BAFE SP203-1 requirements
- FIA units covering maintenance, service, and design
- Good understanding of electrical/electronic systems, with the ability to read building plans and CAD drawings
- Self-motivated, organised, and a strong communicator
- Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Good record-keeping ability
- Competent IT skills
- ECS or CSCS card (advantageous)
Experience with the following panels/equipment is required:
- Kentec
- Morley
- Advanced
- (Desirable) Gent, Protec, Fireclass, Hyfire
Hours:
- Full-time, Monday to Friday
- On-call rota (1 week in 9)
- Overtime and weekend work available
