We are a well-established MEP contractor based in Kent, specialising in the delivery of high-quality mechanical and electrical projects across a range of sectors. With a strong reputation for excellence, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead and manage electrical installations for projects within the education sector and commercial office fit-outs.
As the Electrical Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing and delivering electrical services projects from inception to completion. Your key focus will be on plant room installations and electrical works within schools and office environments, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage multiple electrical projects, with values ranging from £100k to £5M+.
- Oversee project planning, resource allocation, and procurement.
- Coordinate and manage project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant regulations, industry standards, and health and safety requirements.
- Monitor project progress, managing budgets and schedules to ensure timely delivery.
- Provide regular project updates and reports to senior management and clients.
- Build strong relationships with clients, acting as the key point of contact.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure all project documentation is up to date and accurately maintained.
- Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager within the MEP sector.
- Extensive experience in delivering electrical projects for the education sector and office fit-outs.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, including LV distribution, lighting, and fire alarms.
- Excellent project management skills, with a track record of managing budgets and meeting deadlines.
- Familiarity with industry standards (BS7671, IEE Wiring Regulations) and health and safety regulations.
- Effective leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites across Kent and surrounding areas.
- HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
- SMSTS or equivalent health and safety qualification.
- Membership in relevant professional bodies (IET, NICEIC, etc.).
