We're looking for a hands-on Maintenance Manager to join the team. We currently operate 7 restaurants, with new openings planned in the future. The role has two core parts:

  • Carrying out hands-on maintenance across our sites yourself, to a consistently high standard.
  • Supporting our General Managers by outsourcing the more complex or specialist jobs to external contractors, then overseeing and signing off their work.

This is a fully site-based role across our estate and office, with no set remote working days.

Role requirements:

  • A recognised trade background with strong all-round practical skills.
  • Carrying out day-to-day maintenance and repairs across all sites yourself, to a high standard and finish.
  • Coming prepared with the right tools for each job, and purchasing materials where needed within budget.
  • Working with GM's to manage and prioritise site to-do lists.
  • Provide advice to sites in emergency situations and when to make urgent callouts to specialist preferred contractors.
  • Recognising when a job is more complex or specialist, and working with Head of Facilities and operations to come up with a long-term solution.
  • Overseeing contractor works on site, ensuring quality and safety, and signing off completed jobs.
  • Recording everything and managing the full admin side - logging, tracking, approvals and records - through Access.
  • Maintain planning, prioritising and working independently across multiple sites.

Ideal candidate:

  • Previous multi-site maintenance experience, ideally within hospitality, retail or leisure.
  • Equally comfortable executing day-to-day maintenance to a high standard yourself and juggling third-party contractors on the more complex jobs.
  • Obsessive about detail and the quality of the finish.
  • Naturally organised - plans ahead, sets priorities and keeps multiple sites moving.
  • Strong at follow-up, accountability and over-communication, so nothing slips through the cracks.
  • Calm under pressure, with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Thrives in highly active, fast-paced environments.
  • Passionate about restaurants, food, culture and hospitality, with excellent communication skills.

What we offer:

  • 50% discount across all MJMK restaurants.
  • Up to £500 team referral bonus.
  • Opportunity to grow within one of London's most ambitious hospitality groups.
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity pay after one year with us.
  • Extra day's holiday every year you're with us, up to 5 extra days.
  • Wide range of benefits from Hospitality Action.
  • Company sick pay after one year of service.
