Job Purpose/Objective: Manage the allocated projects to ensure the safe and efficient distribution of goods worldwide and ensure that all materials are delivered to site on time with full traceability ensuring the successful delivery of all projects as part of the logistics team.
Main Duties/Activities:
- Ensuring on time delivery of all material to sites worldwide for all MJM projects
- Providing tracking and full visibility for all shipments to the Contracts Department
- Ensuring all transport movement is organized by using most cost effective and timely routes to maximize production time
- Identify opportunities to improve transportation methods delivering cost, quality and delivery benefits
- Develop and confirm transport schedules
- Liaising with internal / external customers, transport companies and suppliers; negotiating and setting up contracts
- Use / develop IT systems to track supplies of raw materials and finished products
- Arranging for the return or onward forwarding of all containers and materials in the most cost-effective manner
- Creating and providing commercial invoices for all freight movements
- Full management for all Imports and Exports / Full Compliance for HMRC
- Producing reports on a regular basis for Senior Management
- Assisting the Logistics Team to deliver KPIs and Performance Targets
- Motivating, organizing and encouraging teamwork within the department to ensure company targets are met
- Assist with the training of staff as well as monitoring performance and progress
- Completing all paperwork / documentation for customers as and when required
- Manage a fleet of delivery vehicles to ensure full maintenance at all times, minimal costs and vehicle tracking.
- To make effective use of your team working, communicating, negotiating, influencing, problem-solving, planning and organizing skills and your Customs and Duty knowledge
- All other reasonable duties as directed by the Logistics Manager
- Travel may be required as part of this post
Requirements
Essential:
- Ability to work within a team environment

- Previous experience within a busy logistics office
