The business has built a reputation for excellence and innovation by delivering major marine projects for local and global clients. Due to significant growth, the opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join the team at our Belfast Office, Northern Ireland.
The successful candidate will form an important part of the commercial team and have responsibility for ensuring the project contract, cost, quality and time targets are met.
Responsibilities:- Maintain and coordinate all commercial reports required for the successful commercial management of the contract.
- Identify, raise, and price variations/change orders.
- Prepare the forecasting and reporting of costs against value.
- Ensure the accuracy of commercial data and record keeping at site level.
- Ensure prompt and regular submission of sub‑contract payment applications to include all variations and/or change orders.
- Manage subcontract accounts.
- Be working towards RICS or other appropriate chartered qualification and will have a BSc in Quantity Surveying.
- Have a detailed understanding of Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) to include preparation, detailed forecasting principles and monthly reporting.
- Have experience in negotiation and settlement of disputes and accounts experience relating both to customers and suppliers.
- Have a thorough understanding of the financial and commercial issues faced in interior fit‑out projects.
- Have the right to work in the UK.
