The Company MJM is currently recruiting experienced Mechanical Fitters to work at Heathrow Airport on a long-term basis. You will be part of a skilled team responsible for maintaining the mechanical integrity of Heathrow’s critical infrastructure—keeping systems running efficiently in one of the world’s busiest airports.
The Role
- Maintaining automated systems to a high operational standard
- Carrying out fault-finding, reactive repairs, and planned preventative maintenance
- Diagnosing and resolving mechanical faults
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth system performance
About You
- Proven experience installing and maintaining industrial-sized systems (airport, logistics, or manufacturing environments)
- Recognised mechanical qualification – City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 (or higher)
- Flexible to work a rotating schedule of days, nights, and weekends
- Strong fault-finding skills and a proactive, safety-first mindset
It would be advantageous if you also have:
- Experience in a similar setting, manufacturing, industrial, or automated environment
- A 5-year checkable work history, required for Airside pass clearance
