You will be part of a skilled team responsible for maintaining the mechanical integrity of Heathrow’s critical infrastructure – keeping systems running efficiently in one of the world’s busiest airports.
The Role
As a Mechanical / Maintenance Fitter based at Heathrow, you will maintain automated systems to ensure maximum productivity, efficiency, and equipment availability.
Your duties will include:
- Maintaining automated systems to a high operational standard
- Carrying out fault‑finding, reactive repairs and planned preventive maintenance
- Diagnosing and resolving mechanical faults
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth system performance
About You
- Proven experience installing and maintaining industrial‑sized systems (airport, logistics or manufacturing environments)
- Recognised mechanical qualification – City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 (or higher)
- Valid CSCS Card – essential
- Flexible to work a rotating schedule of days, nights, and weekends
- Strong fault‑finding skills and a proactive, safety‑first mindset
Desirable Experience
- Experience in a similar setting: manufacturing, industrial or automated environment
- A 5‑year checkable work history, required for Airside pass clearance
