About the Role:
MJM Industrial is actively recruiting experienced Mechanical Fitters for long-term work at Heathrow Airport. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a cutting-edge, high-security environment on the installation, maintenance, and repair of advanced baggage handling and conveyor systems.
You will be part of a skilled team responsible for maintaining the mechanical integrity of Heathrow’s critical infrastructure—keeping systems running efficiently in one of the world’s busiest airports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance on large-scale conveyor and baggage handling systems
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults to minimise system downtime
- Supporting the installation of industrial conveyor systems, motors, rollers, and gearboxes
- Collaborating closely with engineers, supervisors, and other trades to maintain safety and system performance
- Ensuring all work is completed to high standards and in compliance with safety regulations
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience installing and maintaining industrial-sized conveyor systems (airport, logistics, or manufacturing environments)
- Recognised mechanical qualification – City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 (or higher)
- Valid CSCS Card – essential
- Flexible to work a rotating schedule of days, nights, and weekends
- Strong fault-finding skills and a proactive, safety-first mindset
Desirable (But Not Essential):
- Experience in FMCG, automated warehousing, manufacturing, or similar industrial environments
- 5-year checkable UK work history to support Airside Pass application
