Our boutique project management consultancy client, based in Berkshire, is back in the market due to increased workload demands. With a strong order book for the next 18 months and a history of year-on-year expansion, they are seeking to hire another Project Manager to join their dynamic team. Their projects include commercial offices, hotels, and retail parks, including new build projects. You will work with leading developers, pension funds, and London universities. Supported by an Associate Director, you will be an integral part of their close-knit team, contributing to the business both commercially and culturally.

Your primary role will be to manage projects independently as your experience allows. Projects typically involve 'cut & carve', strip outs, and remodelling, with support on larger schemes. You will develop skills and experience as part of ongoing CPD. Projects are mainly located across the UK, especially in the Southeast and Midlands. Candidates must be able to drive, own a vehicle, and be within 1 hour of the Newbury area.

Key Duties:
  • Work closely with colleagues to understand project requirements.
  • Develop professional relationships with clients.
  • Manage and lead smaller projects (£0.5m to £2m).
  • Support larger projects (£20m+).
  • Collaborate with all stakeholders.
  • Understand and promote sustainability and health & safety policies.
  • Prepare construction and development budgets.
  • Provide regular reports on expenditure against budgets.
  • Assist with negotiation of consultant fees and invoice management.
  • Prepare programmes for monitoring.
  • Work towards a career development plan with support.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Legal right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available).
  • MAPM, MRICS, or close to Chartership.
  • BSc in Surveying, Construction Project Management, Engineering, or Architecture (preferably with Hons accreditation to RICS).
  • At least 24 months of full-time professional consultancy experience.
  • Effective communication skills and an enthusiastic personality.
  • Knowledge of key project management principles.
  • Understanding of project and development cost control.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Owns a car and can drive (relocation is not considered).

The package includes a salary of £45,000 – 55,000 (dependent on experience), plus 5% pension, 28 days paid holiday, discretionary bonus, and one professional subscription paid.
