Our client is a small, expert private cost consultancy based in Central London. Still in their relative infancy, their personnel track record is steadfast, having delivered a vast range of projects in the hotel, PBSA, Residential arena but notwithstanding commercial offices, data centres, industrial, high end leisure also - throughout the UK South / London area.
Formed by a tried and tested partnership team, they boast formidable expertise & leadership skills and consequently they know what a successful business looks & feels like! They are now wanting to hire a competent project / intermediate level Quantity Surveyor who is preferably within their APC stages to come and join them on their journey.
In a supportive environment, your technical role will encompass a full suite of pre and post contract administration including some employers agent duties (in due course) and you will help support several projects (JCT) and ultimately take more responsibility as your confidence grows. From a standing start, you will require cost planning and sound measurement skills and a sound ability to put together tender and contract documents.
Applicants wishing to apply must have completed a BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying (RICS accredited) degree with a minimum of 18 months to 2 years' PQS experience, specific to UK. Unfortunately, our client cannot support those requiring any form of VISA support. It is expected that applicants will be currently employed by a UK based PQS.
The successful applicant will be personable, bright, articulate and presentable to assist in the day to day and help manage clients & their expectations accordingly. If and when capable, you will be given opportunity to 'step up' should you demonstrate both confidence and resilience in your delivery.
Applicants will also require competent excel skills regarding analysis, comparisons, benchmark data / data management & presenting. Salary package is to £50k basic, private healthcare, Pension (9%), Bonus, 27 days holiday – 1 day per week flexible working.
