Central London £50k - 58k per year + Benefits Permanent. One of our longest standing clients has an exciting opportunity for a competent, standalone Project Manager to join their commercial, retail and leisure team and run various projects as independently as possible. Founded on values of honesty, understanding and trust – you simply won’t find a friendlier & approachable management team in the market – any necessary support will be available to the successful postholder.

Current projects include hotel roll out projects as well as new builds; various high end residential projects for HNW individuals, commercial offices – CAT A refurbs; new build retail department store & various space moves for retailers.

Must have:

  • 2-3 years’ post graduation experience as a construction project manager (preferably in a consultancy environment)
  • An accompanying Surveying or Construction Project Management degree

Duties and expectations (of working alongside Senior PM / Directors):

  • Experience with traditional JCT contracts and acting as EA/CA (generally without quantities but with CDPs, or Design and Build Contracts)
  • Preparation of detailed construction programmes & programme management
  • Management of Feasibility estimating/approximate quantities and detailed cost planning
  • Pre-contract process management duties including EA/CA duties, design review, value engineering, value management, production of tender documentation, tender analysis on return of contractor’s proposals and production of contract documentation
  • Post-contract management duties including EA/CA duties, client/management reports, snagging reports, monthly valuations, cost reporting, valuing variations and change, agreement of final account
  • Client facing, including attending/chairing/minuting specific client review meetings, design meetings, cost and procurement meetings and general project meetings.

Necessary qualifications/Skills:

  • MRICS status is highly desirable or comparable highly relatable experience (will consider those competent at latter APC stages)
  • Formal qualification (APM) or working towards a qualification in Project Management
  • Microsoft Window’s IT competency (principally Word, Excel, Outlook)

Salary offered from £50k to £55k basic + benefits (£basic – dependent on experience)
