MJC Passive Fire Ltd is seeking experienced Fire Door Carpenters / Passive Fire Installers to join our growing team across Plymouth, surrounding areas and the wider South West. This is a full-time, permanent role offering long-term stability within a compliance-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, remediate and maintain fire doors to industry standards
  • Carry out passive fire protection works as required
  • Complete time-stamped electronic evidence forms and photographic records
  • Work independently or within a small team to deliver high-quality, compliant results
  • Communicate professionally with clients, site managers and colleagues

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Carpentry/Joinery
  • Minimum 3 years’ fire door installation or passive fire experience
  • Experience working under recognised schemes such as FIRAS, BM TRADA or IFC (preferred)
  • In-house training is provided under the BM TRADA framework, as MJC Passive Fire operates to TRADA standards
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures
  • Full UK driving license (clean)
  • Own tools (battery-powered preferred)
