Product Manager – Insurtech | London, hybrid (1–2 days a week)

We're working with a growing London Market insurtech whose platform is used every day by specialty underwriting and operations teams. It's a deep, process-heavy product, so insurance knowledge matters as much as product skills.

They're building out their product function and hiring a Product Manager to own a significant area of the platform, working closely with the clients who rely on it.

What you'll do

  • Own and prioritise the backlog, balancing client needs with commercial goals
  • Write user stories and tickets with tight acceptance criteria for engineering
  • Lead discovery sessions with clients and SMEs, turning real-world insurance processes into clear requirements
  • Lead client meetings, capturing feedback and demoing progress
  • Work with engineers and designers to keep delivery moving, and help shape the roadmap and release plans
  • Represent the needs of underwriters and ops teams in every product decision
  • Proven Product Owner or Product Manager experience: backlog ownership, writing user stories and tickets, prioritisation and close collaboration with engineering
  • Insurance industry background, with commercial or specialty lines preferred (personal lines considered)
  • Confident in a client-facing role and able to get to London 1–2 days a week (commutable, or willing to travel)
  • Exposure to the London Market, MGAs, coverholders or delegated authority
  • Experience of complex, process-driven B2B platforms, as opposed to consumer apps
  • Understanding of insurance finance processes such as bordereaux, premium and settlement
  • Structured discovery skills, including turning regulatory or contract wording into requirements
  • Project management: planning delivery and managing timelines and stakeholders
  • Strong user of AI tools to work faster across research, writing and everyday product tasks

About you

Precise, credible in front of clients and confident making (and defending) product calls. Equally at ease with underwriters, engineers and stakeholders, and happy deep in the detail while keeping the end goal in view.

Competitive salary, with strong progression prospects as the business scales.
