Overview
We’re looking for Food Warehouse Operatives to join our team on a full-time permanent basis at M&J (Sysco GB) Seafood CPU Depot in Bicester, Oxfordshire.
You will be involved in preparing, packaging, and checking a range of chilled and frozen fresh seafood for distribution to caterers nationwide.
The role is based in a temperature-controlled environment and involves standing for long periods.
Training in fish mongering skills is available from industry professionals for successful applicants.
Responsibilities
- Handle, prepare and check a variety of food products, primarily fish, in a chilled/frozen environment.
- Maintain accurate stock records for audit purposes and support inventory control.
- Operate in a safe, clean workspace and follow food safety practices.
- Be on your feet for the majority of the shift and work as part of a team to meet distribution deadlines.
Qualifications
- Computer-literate with the ability to keep accurate stock records.
- Attention to detail and a reliable team player.
- Previous experience in a food production or kitchen environment is advantageous but not essential; willingness to learn is valued.
- Basic food safety knowledge is beneficial.
