Warehouse Team Leader at MJ Quinn

Location: Knowsley, England, United Kingdom

Salary: £27,500

Hours: Shift pattern Monday to Friday between 06:30 and 17:30 (37.5 hrs)

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Deployment Team Leader to oversee and coordinate the Deployment area. This role involves leading a team of Stores Operatives, ensuring timelines are met, maintaining quality standards, and working cross-functionally with managers to ensure smooth rollouts.

Responsibilities

  • Line management responsibilities for Stores Operatives
  • Be the primary point of contact for the Deployment team
  • Report any issues/concerns to Deployment Manager
  • Understand and demonstrate good leadership
  • Demonstrate excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills
  • Maintain strong communication skills
  • Handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Prioritise tasks to ensure key activities receive attention
  • Support Stores Operatives to meet delivery targets within Deployment
  • Respond quickly and effectively to changes in a proactive manner
  • Identify shortfalls in internal procedures and escalate risks to the department and delivery numbers
  • Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports for Deployment Manager review
  • Provide leadership and direction as a knowledgeable resource to MJ Quinn management
  • Conduct daily/weekly audits of team performance and collate findings
  • Support the Deployment team and feedback issues to Deployment Manager
  • Assist with weekly/monthly stock counts and data collation
  • Respond to inquiries via e-mail
  • Develop strong team working relationships and collaboration within Logistics
  • Support the Deployment Manager in identifying inefficiencies and help develop new processes
  • Implement and maintain housekeeping to ensure a safe, clean working environment
  • Assist in unloading/checking kits from leavers; returned items moved to stock or prepared for full kits
  • Assist with loading vans for Deployment
  • Use the company resource planner to schedule and prioritise workload
  • Assist with stock transfers between MJ Quinn sites

Person Specification

  • Be able to work efficiently and effectively as part of a team
  • Full UK Driving Licence required
  • Communicate effectively with all other departments
  • Strong planning, organisation, and monitoring abilities with attention to detail
  • Enjoy a challenge with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex information
  • Ability to prioritise work, work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage expectations
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Be adaptable and flexible in approach
