We’re looking for a Mechanical Estimator to support tendering for building services projects. This role suits someone coming off the tools who wants to move into an office-based estimating career.

Essential Background:

  • Previously worked as a Plumber, Gas Engineer, or HVAC Engineer
  • Looking to transition into an estimating role
  • Experience or strong understanding of mechanical materials take-offs
  • Solid knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, pipework, plant)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce or support mechanical take-offs, costings, and tenders
  • Interpret drawings and specifications
  • Obtain and analyse supplier and subcontractor quotes
  • Assist with cost planning and value engineering

Requirements:

  • Practical mechanical/MEP experience (on the tools)
  • Good numerical and organisational skills
  • Basic IT skills (Excel)
  • Ability to learn and develop in estimating

Training and development will be provided depending on experience level.
