Department Overview
The Traffic Management department are responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of all road users by planning, controlling, and implementing strategies to regulate traffic flow, minimise congestion, and prevent accidents, especially in areas affected by disruptions like construction or events.
Job Objective
The Co‑Ordinator role involves allocating, planning, and assigning jobs to suppliers. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to maintain effective relationships with various stakeholders. The Traffic Management Coordinator will play a crucial role in optimising all processes within the department.
Key Roles And Responsibilities
- Processing and creating works into diaries.
- Liaising with councils and external sub‑contractors to ensure traffic management is booked and in place.
- Monitor the TM photos inbox.
- Supporting the TM Commercial team in any tasks that may occur.
- Ensuring that all systems are kept up to date with accurate information.
- Updating TM Works Diary, including application of resource.
- Receive/respond to TM request forms.
- Create/update job packs.
- Create quotes & invoices, log data and send to relevant parties.
- Update, collate and chase fuel receipts/defect sheets.
- Update/chase audits.
- Liaise with council for various applications.
Person Specification
- Experience in a Co‑Ordinator role preferred but not essential.
- Intermediate level of Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple workloads.
- Telecoms knowledge and scheduling experience would be advantageous.
- Strong planning and organisational skills.
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
Terms and Conditions
- Working Conditions: Full Time Office Based.
- Department: Traffic Management.
- Reports to: Traffic Management Operations Manager.
- Hours of Work: 08:00am – 17:00pm.
- Rate of Pay: £25,000 – £27,000.
- Work Location: Knowsley (Soon to be relocating to L24).
- Travel Requirements: None.
- Holiday Entitlements: No holiday entitlements. 6.6 week per annum, inclusive of bank holidays and company shutdowns.
- Benefits: Free car parking; 2x death in service benefit; healthcare plan; cycle scheme & company contribution pension scheme; enhanced maternity and paternity.
