About the role As a High Voltage Engineering Supervisor, you will play a critical role in the design, analysis, construction, commissioning and maintenance of high-voltage electrical systems and equipment. Leveraging your expertise in electrical engineering and high-voltage technologies, you will contribute to the development of safe, efficient, and reliable solutions to meet the needs of our clients. Responsibilities and Requirements: Design and analyse high-voltage electrical systems, including transmission lines, substations, and distribution networks, to meet project requirements and regulatory standards. Perform load flow, short circuit, and transient stability studies using specialised software tools to optimise system performance and reliability. Develop detailed engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for high-voltage equipment and components. Evaluate and select high-voltage equipment, such as circuit breakers, transformers, and switchgear, based on technical requirements, performance criteria, and cost considerations. Develop testing procedures and protocols for high-voltage equipment and systems, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations. Ensure that high-voltage designs and installations comply with all relevant safety codes, standards, and regulations, including NFPA, IEEE, and OSHA requirements. Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential safety hazards and mitigate associated risks. Recognised qualification in Electrical Engineering. Minimum of 5 years of experience in high-voltage engineering, with a focus on design, analysis, and testing of electrical systems and equipment. Strong technical knowledge of high-voltage principles, including power system analysis, equipment selection, and testing methodologies. Proficiency in appropriate engineering software tools. Familiarity with industry standards and codes, including ANSI, IEC, and NEC. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Effective communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team. Professional engineering (PE) licence preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
