Overview
FTTP Area Manager – Mid Wales & Shropshire. Salary: £37,000. Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 8:00pm. Location: Field-based covering the Mid Wales and Shropshire region (areas such as Birmingham, Wolverhampton and Walsall). Company vehicle provided.

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the local team of engineers, providing leadership, support, direction, and feedback to ensure Service Delivery targets are achieved.
- Manage the team within budget constraints, seek opportunities to reduce costs, and maximise bottom-line revenue growth.
- Ensure all team members are skilled, equipped, and accredited to client standards.
- Monitor performance and drive continuous improvement through development, recognition, effective communication, field visits and FPQ checks.
- Ensure each team member understands their targets and contributes to achieving them.
Technical Expertise & Service Delivery
- Identify opportunities for multi-skilling and cross-project work to optimise field structure.
- Seek opportunities to reduce costs and maximise revenue.
- Ensure safety and quality checks are carried out in accordance with MJ Quinn policy.
Experience & Qualifications
- Managerial experience in a similar role (Telecommunications industry essential).
- FTTP background.
- Full UK driving license (no more than 6 points).
- Computer literate and able to communicate effectively with clients.
- Willing to undertake relevant training and development.
Desirable
- Managerial/supervisor experience.
- Knowledge of the BT network.
- Understanding of the Fibre network.
- Full UK driver’s license.
