This HSQE reassessor role is field based with frequent travel to sites across the United Kingdom.
About the role: Led by the Head of Health and Safety, the department’s role is to help the business make the best choices for the safety, environment, health and quality of our operations, our team and our customers. We provide technical guidance, advice and assurance on managing HSQE across the business nationally. As a HSQE Advisor you will provide technical guidance, advice and assurance on all HSQE matters to support the business. This will allow effective risk management of work sites, covering the Energy and Critical Infrastructure Division of the business.
The Key Responsibilities of this Role include but are not limited to the following tasks:
- Promote HSQE standards across all MJ Quinn divisions
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and toolbox talks.
- Prepare and review safety documentation (e.g., risk assessments, method statements).
- Investigate incidents and produce reports with corrective actions.
- Support tender and pre‑qualification documentation.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and accreditation bodies.
- Monitor compliance with ISO standards (e.g., ISO45001, ISO14001).
- Maintain HSQE records and compile safety files and O&M manuals.
- Promote a positive and professional image of the department, by adhering to company policies, procedures and standards.
- Raise non‑conformance reports.
- Work as part of a larger team to develop working practices and procedures.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a HSQE Advisor role
- Previous experience in Critical Infrastructure & Energy
- ISO45001 knowledge (essential); ISO9001/14001 (desirable).
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in report writing and documentation control.
- Familiarity with HSQE management systems.
