We are currently recruiting for a Poling Operative – Drivers to join our West Wales Team. As a Poling Operative, you will be responsible for the installation and removal of poles, including dressing new poles covering the West Wales region. This is an entry‑level position and all training will be provided. Training will be paid at a rate of £90 – £105 per day. This will be discussed in further detail on a telephone interview. Our course will start on 23rd February 2026. Pay £90.00-£650.00 per day.
Essential Requirements
- HGV Class 2 licence
- Valid CPC and understanding of Tachograph driving laws
- Strong work ethic and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Professional communication skills
- Organised, self‑motivated, and achievement‑oriented
- Basic computer literacy
Key Responsibilities
- Replace damaged, decayed, or defective poles in the Openreach network
- Install new poles to support customer connections
- Ensure all work meets client specifications and safety standards
- Maintain driving standards and legal compliance
- Adhere to Health & Safety legislation and company/client policies
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience working in the Openreach network
- Groundworks or civils experience
- IPAF 1B NPORS N107 or equivalent
- Full NRSWA Streetworks operative‑level qualification
- 360 Excavator operation
- PASMA certification
