We are actively seeking an FTTP Area Manager in the Service Delivery department. The position is field based, covering the Mid Wales & Shropshire areas (Telford, Wolverhampton, Birmingham).
Salary: £37,000
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week between 8:00am – 8:00pm (Monday to Friday)
Company Vehicle: provided (van)
Your Role: As the FTTP Area Manager, you will be responsible for a team of engineers, providing leadership, support, direction, and feedback for their roles. You will manage the local area to ensure Service Delivery targets are achieved.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the team within budget constraints and seek opportunities to reduce cost and maximise bottom line revenue growth.
- Ensure all team members are skilled, kitted and accredited to the standards expected by the client.
- Manage the performance and the continuous improvement of team members through development, recognition, effective communications, field visits and FPQ checks.
- Ensure each team member is aware of the team and their individual targets and is committed to achieving them.
Technical Expertise & Service Delivery:
- Identify opportunities for multi-skilling and cross-project working to deliver a more efficient field structure across MJ Quinn.
- Seek opportunities to reduce cost and maximise bottom line revenue growth.
- Ensure safety and quality checks are carried out in accordance with MJ Quinn policy.
Experience:
- Managerial experience in a similar role (Telecommunications industry essential)
- FTTP background
- Hold a full UK driving licence (no more than 6 points)
- Computer literate
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Willing to undertake relevant training and development
Desirables:
- Managerial/supervisor experience
- Knowledge of the BT network
- Understanding of the Fibre network
- Full UK driver’s licence
