Overview

Working Hours- 8:30-17:00 Monday- Friday

Salary- £30,000 – £33,000 (p/a dependent on experience)

We are seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in computer-aided design (CAD) As a CAD Technician, you will play a crucial role in creating detailed schematics within the Traffic Management department.

Key responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to the following tasks:

  • Produce detailed CAD traffic management plans for 12D works.
  • Occasional 12AB design work.
  • Ensure plans are compliant with industry legislation and guidance (Safety at Street Works and Road Works – A Code of Practice, Chapter 8, ARTSM, etc).
  • Provide support to the TM department.
  • Prepare design drawings using Bricscad and Cone 11 software.
  • Undertake all tasks supporting the design process.
  • Working in a busy environment, ensuring drawing standards are adhered to whilst meeting SLAs.
  • To always promote safe working process

Person Specification

  • Ability to meet deadlines without compromising on quality.
  • Team worker as well as the ability to work on own initiative.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications.
  • Experience in CAD design technician role (desirable).
  • Experience in a similar role or installations of temporary traffic management.
  • Understanding of industry guidelines and reference documents.
  • Competent in BricsCAD / Cone (desirable).
  • Possess M7 Lantra Accreditation or be willing to training towards .
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Education Requirements

  • G.C.S.E level B+ in Mathematics & English (or equivalent)
  • A legal right to work in the UK.
