Here at MJ Quinn, we currently have an exciting new opportunity for Telecoms Assessor – Infield to join our South Midlands team. This will be a road position covering the South Midlands area. The MJ Quinn Technical Training team are responsible for ensuring the MJ Quinn field-based workforce have the necessary accreditations, knowledge and skills to complete works to a high safety and quality standard.
The key objective of the Telecoms Assessor – Infield (TAI) role is to ensure that the resource delivered to the respective field teams is trained, accredited and compliant with the wide range of industry and client expectations. This will be achieved by delivery of externally recognised accreditations to field-based staff and subcontractors, ensuring operatives are able to work in line with the Health and Safety guidelines issued by MJ Quinn and its clients. The TAI will also ensure full accreditation compliance against both internal and client skills matrices, with onsite practical and distance-led training. This role will involve travel and working away from home.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure engineers are compliant with both internal and client matrices by providing renewal of expiring/expired accreditation.
- Provide training across the safety and craft module portfolio.
- Ensure the safety and craft training is delivered in line with both MJ Quinn, awarding body and the clients standards.
- Ensure the candidates in the training present themselves in line with MJ Quinn standards and seek support and guidance where required.
- Gain accreditation to deliver additional craft modules in line with the academy’s development plan.
- Support colleague’s development by providing help and guidance for additional assessor qualifications, in line with academy’s development plan.
- Keep accurate attendance logs for the courses and feed back to the relevant departments for pay purposes.
- Keep accurate records of test and practical assessment results and send on to the relevant departments.
- Facilitate the completion of any documentation required by different departments across the business.
- Raise any on the day issues to the relevant departments within the business.
- Maintain and build up a good working relationship with internal and external stakeholders including colleagues, customers, suppliers, and senior management teams.
- Be able to work efficiently and effectively as part of a team.
- Communicate effectively with all other departments.
- Deliver quality service to the client ensuring that performance standards and contractual KPI’s and SLAs are met.
- Drive a “Safety First” and “Right First Time” culture across the field operations backed up through plans and engagement with suppliers.
- Be a role model for the working culture within MJ Quinn promoting Quality, Safety and Integrity.
- Be fundamental in developing MJ Quinn’s working culture, its reputation and values.
- Have strong planning, organisation, and monitoring abilities.
