We are currently recruiting for Poling Operatives – Drivers to join our Midlands Team. As a Poling Operative, you will be responsible for the installation and removal of poles, including dressing new poles covering the South Wales region. This is an entry-level position and all training will be provided. After an 18-week training period, earning potentials will vastly increase. This will be discussed in further detail on a telephone interview.
Essential Requirements
- HGV Class 2 licence
- Valid CPC and understanding of Tachograph driving laws
- Strong work ethic and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Professional communication skills
- Organised, self-motivated, and achievement-oriented
- Basic computer literacy
Key Responsibilities
- Replace damaged, decayed, or defective poles in the Openreach network
- Install new poles to support customer connections
- Ensure all work meets client specifications and safety standards
- Maintain driving standards and legal compliance
- Adhere to Health & Safety legislation and company/client policies
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience working in the Openreach network
- Groundworks or civils experience
- IPAF 1B NPORS N107 or equivalent
- Full NRSWA Streetworks operative-level qualification
- 360 Excavator operation
- PASMA certification
