Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic Field Supervisor to join our company. This role involves overseeing fibre installation works across Cheltenham and Gloucestershire, ensuring all activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with network standards. You will support the Field Manager in coordinating day-to-day operations and act as the first point of contact for fibre engineers in the field. A key part of the role includes providing regular updates on field progress to the back office and fostering strong working relationships with Local Highway Authorities (HAs) to support smooth project delivery.

Responsibilities
- Liaise directly with suppliers
- Ensure all works are completed on time, safely, and to quality standards
- Carry out a minimum of 2 weekly safety checks
- Attend meetings in person or remotely to discuss work requirements and project targets
- Ensure all health and safety protocols are met onsite and report any near misses or incidents appropriately
- Conduct safety checks on partners and direct labour
- Find solutions to complex issues onsite
- Liaise with partners, stakeholders, and councils
- Replan works and create supporting documentation to save costs
- Create A55s for civils requirements
- Walk Pons and provide feedback on fluidity requirements
- Create ILCs where required
Experience and Skills
- Experience on Openreach network (Desirable)
- Experience in a similar role within the telecoms industry (Essential)
- Experience dealing with local authorities (Desirable)
- Full UK driver’s license
- Proficiency in Excel and Outlook
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships
- Critical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Competent in using Orion
- Ability to resolve conflicts constructively
- Effective time management and prioritisation skills
