We are currently recruiting for Poling Operatives to join our West Wales. As a Poling Operative, you will be responsible for installation and removal of poles, including dressing new poles covering the West Wales region. This is an entry level position and all training will be provided. Training is paid at rates between £90 – £105 per day. All pay rates will be discussed via telephone. This is a subcontracting opportunity. Our course date will start on 23rd February 2026.
Essential Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong work ethic and ability to work under pressure
- Professional communication skills
- Organised, self-motivated, and achievement-oriented
- Basic computer literacy
Key Responsibilities:
- Replace decayed, damaged, or defective poles in the Openreach network
- Install new poles to support customer connections
- Ensure all work meets client specifications and safety standards
- Maintain driving standards and legal compliance
- Adhere to Health & Safety legislation and company/client policies
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience working in the Openreach network
- Groundworks or civils experience
- IPAF 1B
- PORS N107 or equivalent
- Full NRSWA Streetworks operative-level qualification
- 360 Excavator operation
- PASMA certification
