We are looking for a freelance sponsorship sales specialist to secure the headline sponsor for Season 2 of the Posh & Specs podcast, or alternatively secure episode-by-episode sponsors across the season. This is a remote, freelance role ideally suited to someone with existing brand contacts in marketing, fintech, consumer apps, lifestyle or UK challenger brands.
About the podcast:
Posh & Specs is a fast-growing UK podcast built around a cultural clash between its two hosts:
- Hannah (“Specs”) – from rural Scotland, known for her colourful eyewear and sharp humour
- James (“Posh”) – from rural Somerset, founder and commentator with a dry British wit
The show explores everyday issues through their very different perspectives, which has produced a number of semi-viral clips across social media. Both hosts first appeared on a Channel 4 reality television show, which helped build an early audience for the podcast.
Season 1 achieved:
- 1M+ combined downloads
- Features in several newcomer podcast awards
- Strong social engagement through short-form clips
- Recently recognised as an affiliated Spotify Partner Podcast
Demand for a second season is clear and Season 2 (10 episodes) is now being prepared.
Audience profile:
- UK-wide audience
- Strong listenership in London and Bristol
- Demographic: older Gen Z and Millennials
- Gender split almost perfectly balanced
- Socioeconomic categories B1–C
- Audience tends to be money-conscious, culturally engaged and digitally native
The opportunity:
Your role is to identify, approach and secure brands interested in becoming:
- Headline sponsor for Season 2, or
- Episode sponsors across the 10-episode season
We are particularly interested in brands that resonate with the audience such as:
- fintech and consumer finance

- lifestyle and consumer apps
- insurance and financial services
- challenger brands targeting younger professionals
Responsibilities:
- Identify and approach suitable sponsor brands
- Pitch the podcast sponsorship opportunity
- Negotiate sponsorship packages and pricing
- Close sponsorship deals for Season 2
- Coordinate introductions with the podcast team once deals are agreed
Commission:
- 20% commission on sponsorship secured (£570 in commission per episode sponsored)
- 30% commission on full season sponsor secured (£7500 in commission for full season sponsored)
Commission paid once sponsorship agreements are completed.
Ideal candidate:
- Experience in podcast advertising, media sales, influencer partnerships or brand sponsorship
- Existing UK marketing or brand contacts
- Comfortable pitching and negotiating commercial deals
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
Location: Remote – UK preferred
If you have experience closing sponsorship deals and strong brand relationships, we would love to hear from you.
