We are looking for a freelance sponsorship sales specialist to secure the headline sponsor for Season 2 of the Posh & Specs podcast, or alternatively secure episode-by-episode sponsors across the season. This is a remote, freelance role ideally suited to someone with existing brand contacts in marketing, fintech, consumer apps, lifestyle or UK challenger brands.

- Posh & Specs is a fast-growing UK podcast built around a cultural clash between its two hosts:
- Hannah (“Specs”) – from rural Scotland, known for her colourful eyewear and sharp humour
- James (“Posh”) – from rural Somerset, founder and commentator with a dry British wit
Season 1 achieved:
- 1M+ combined downloads
- Features in several newcomer podcast awards

Demand for a second season is clear and Season 2 (10 episodes) is now being prepared.

The opportunity:
Your role is to identify, approach and secure brands interested in becoming:
- Headline sponsor for Season 2, or
- Episode sponsors across the 10-episode season
We are particularly interested in brands that resonate with the audience such as:
- fintech and consumer finance
- personal finance tools
- lifestyle and consumer apps
- insurance and financial services
- challenger brands targeting younger professionals
Responsibilities:
- Identify and approach suitable sponsor brands
- Pitch the podcast sponsorship opportunity
- Negotiate sponsorship packages and pricing
- Close sponsorship deals for Season 2
- Coordinate introductions with the podcast team once deals are agreed
Commission:
- 20% commission on sponsorship secured (£570 in commission per episode sponsored)
- 30% commission on full season sponsor secured (£7500 in commission for full season sponsored)
- Commission paid once sponsorship agreements are completed
Ideal candidate:
- Experience in podcast advertising, media sales, influencer partnerships or brand sponsorship
- Existing UK marketing or brand contacts
- Comfortable pitching and negotiating commercial deals
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
