We are seeking a skilled Fire and Alarm Engineer, dedicated to ensuring safety and reliability in fire detection and alarm systems across commercial, residential, and industrial properties. This role is essential to providing expert installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting for fire alarm systems, offering you the opportunity to work with cutting-edge safety technology and a dynamic team of professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct installation, testing, and commissioning of fire alarm systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance and servicing of fire alarms, smoke detectors, emergency lighting, and related safety equipment.
- Diagnose and repair faults in fire detection and alarm systems to ensure all components are fully operational and meet safety requirements.
- Provide accurate reporting and documentation for all service, maintenance, and repair activities.
- Work closely with clients to deliver clear explanations, training, and support for their fire safety systems.
- Maintain awareness of and adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role, ideally as a Fire Alarm Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or Fire Systems Technician. Candidates with Maintenance Technician, Service Engineer, Alarm Installation and Field Service Engineer experience will be considered too.
- Relevant certifications and a strong understanding of British fire safety standards and regulations would be beneficial.
- Technical expertise in fire alarm systems, with proficiency in diagnostics, installation, and maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Valid driver’s license (for field-based roles) and willingness to travel as required.
