Job Description

Role Overview\\n\\nWe are seeking an experienced and motivated Fire Alarm Engineer to carry out the installation, servicing, maintenance, and fault-finding of fire alarm systems across the North West. The role involves working across commercial, industrial, and residential sites, ensuring all systems comply with current regulations and standards.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities\\n\\n * \\n\\n Install and maintain fire alarm systems in line with BS 5839 standards\\n\\n * \\n\\n Service and maintain existing fire alarm systems\\n\\n * \\n\\n Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs\\n\\n * \\n\\n Complete accurate service reports, certificates, and documentation\\n\\n * \\n\\n Liaise professionally with clients, site managers, and other engineers\\n\\n * \\n\\n Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with health & safety regulations\\n\\n * \\n\\n Participate in an on-call rota where required\\n\\n * \\n\\n Manage tools, equipment, and company vehicle responsibly\\n\\nSystems Experience (Desirable)\\n\\n * \\n\\n Conventional and addressable fire alarm systems\\n\\n * \\n\\n Knowledge of manufacturers such as Gent, Apollo, Advanced, Notifier, C-Tec, or similar\\n\\n * \\n\\n Basic understanding of emergency lighting (advantageous but not essential)\\n\\nRequired Skills & Experience\\n\\n * \\n\\n Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Engineer (installation and servicing)\\n\\n * \\n\\n Good knowledge of fire alarm regulations and British Standards\\n\\n * \\n\\n Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills\\n\\n * \\n\\n Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively\\n\\n * \\n\\n Good communication and customer service skills\\n\\n * \\n\\n IT literacy for reporting and documentation\\n\\nQualifications\\n\\n * \\n\\n Relevant fire alarm qualifications (e.g. FIA units) preferred\\n\\n * \\n\\n ECS/CSCS card (or ability to obtain)\\n\\n * \\n\\n Full UK driving licence (essential)\\n\\nWhat We Offer\\n\\n * \\n\\n Competitive salary with overtime opportunities\\n\\n * \\n\\n Company vehicle, fuel card, phone, and tools\\n\\n * \\n\\n Ongoing training and professional development\\n\\n * \\n\\n Supportive team environment\\n\\n * \\n\\n Opportunity for career progression
