Job DescriptionM&J is currently seeking an Program Manager assigned to our Arlington, VA office, who will be working onsite at our project in Washington, DC. For this position, the successful candidate will work on our client site for up to five years with the potential for follow-on work in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. The successful candidate will manage the assigned elements of a rail infrastructure project
Overview
The Program Manager serves as the onsite M&J representative providing construction project oversight in support of a Federal construction project in the Washington DC area.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale rail infrastructure programs, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement program management plans, including scope, budget, timeline, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to define program requirements and develop detailed project plans.
- Monitor program progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery.
- Oversee the integration of various project components, ensuring seamless functionality and alignment with overall program goals.
- Provide leadership and direction to project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Prepare and present detailed reports, including program status, financials, and risk assessments, to senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies related to rail infrastructure projects.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, leveraging innovative solutions to enhance program outcomes.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and partners, ensuring effective collaboration and delivery of services.
- Facilitate training and support for project teams and end-users to ensure optimal project execution.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in program management, with significant experience in large rail infrastructure projects.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering large-scale infrastructure programs.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of rail infrastructure, construction processes, and relevant technologies.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements related to rail infrastructure projects.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, PgMP, or relevant industry-specific certifications are highly desirable..
