We are seeking an experienced Project Manager in Civil Engineering to join our Civils team to deliver some exciting upcoming schemes in the South West of England. As Project Manager, you will:
- Lead the project, managing resources, budget, and project timelines.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site.
- Coordinate the use of plant, machinery, and personnel to ensure project milestones are met efficiently.
- Oversee subcontractors and liaise with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor and control project costs, providing regular financial updates to senior leadership.
- Provide regular progress reports and updates to the senior leadership.
- Oversee the quality control of all operations and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
- Contribute to the development of project plans and strategies in collaboration with other senior team members.
You bring strong civil engineering experience, particularly in highways, from major infrastructure projects. You have a track record of managing large-scale civil engineering projects and are confident overseeing teams and subcontractors in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Areas this role will be covering: sites in Chippenham, Bath, Bristol and Swindon.
Key Skills:
- Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience managing large-scale earthworks or civil engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of NEC contracts (particularly Option B) and experience with contract administration.
- Experience with budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent client relationship building skills.
- A commitment to health, safety, and environmental best practices on-site.
