Profile Summary

Augusta & Co, part of the Mizuho Group, is a leading specialist financial advisory firm focused on the renewable energy and energy transition sectors. We advise developers, utilities, infrastructure funds and investors on M&A, capital raising and strategic transactions across Europe. We are seeking a motivated Associate to play a key role in transaction execution and business development activities, supporting clients through all stages of advisory mandates while guiding junior team members in financial modelling, valuation analysis, due diligence and the preparation of client presentations and marketing materials.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Managing junior resources responsible for drafting deal marketing documents as well as internal investment presentations and other client documentation where required.
  • Performing in-depth company/sector analysis and financial modelling for both pitches and live mandates, as well as translating financial analysis into concise client recommendations.
  • Assisting in the co-ordination of due diligence activities. You will be hands-on across the entire execution process including co-ordinating workstreams with other advisers.
  • Involvement in legal documentation negotiation with close support to clients during transaction phases.
  • Firm-wide marketing activities including drafting pitches and building and strengthening relationships with new and existing clients.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • Top results from a leading university.
  • A passion to work in investment banking with a strong understanding of the renewable energy sector.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a collaborative environment.
  • Associates are required to run transaction processes and guide junior resources with all fundamental tasks of a process (marketing materials, financial model, VDR etc.).
  • Significant investment banking and/or consulting experience, preferably in the energy sector.
  • Strong existing capabilities in Financial Modelling including Project Finance, Corporate Finance and LBO modelling.
  • Ability to deal with senior industry counterparties and manage relationship with senior clients.
  • Excellent analytical skills with demonstrable proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Languages: fluency in English and ideally another European language.
