Greenhill's Capital Advisory team delivers advice to institutional investors and private equity fund sponsors on creating liquidity alternatives as well as on sales of limited partnership and direct company interests on the secondary market.
The Associate serves as a key member of the deal team working to project manage deal executions with Managing Directors, Directors, Vice-Presidents, Analysts and Interns. Key responsibilities include:
- Creating and coordinating the preparation of and participation in new business presentations;
- Taking a key role in project managing client mandates, advice to Limited Partners and General Partners regarding secondary capital advisory, with duties including: Allocating and monitoring work between Analysts and Interns;
- Reviewing work product of Analysts and Interns prior to presentations to senior bankers;
- Speaking with clients, buyers, sellers and investors handling deal and process-related requests;
- Presentations to clients and significant client interaction at multiple levels, including Investment Committee level;
- Leading oversight of valuation analysis and financial modelling;
- Reviewing legal documents, credit documentation and negotiating financial term sheets;
- Preparation of confidential offering memoranda and other marketing material (Information Memoranda, management and board presentations, etc.);
- Researching specific companies and industries based on publicly available information;
- Producing and maintaining various Internal databases;
- Managing, development training and coaching of Analysts and Interns;
- Developing relationships with buyers and legal counsels.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven investment banking or relevant financial services experience of a minimum of 2 years;
- Exceptional academic credentials with at least a 2:1 from a leading university;
- A strong work ethic and the ability to perform well under pressure;
- A keen eye for detail, strong numerical ability and logical reasoning;
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex ideas clearly;
- Demonstrable commercial awareness and a real interest in transactions;
- A strong track record of excellence in extra-curricular activities alongside your studies.
