We act for clients located throughout the world from our offices in New York, Chicago, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, Houston, London, Madrid, Melbourne, Paris, San Francisco, Singapore, Stockholm, Sydney, Tokyo, and Toronto.

The Vice President serves as a key member of the deal team working to project manage deal executions with Managing Directors, Principals, Associates and Analysts. Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating and project managing the preparation of new business presentations and frequently attending these client meetings;
  • Project managing the execution of client mandates, typically advice to corporates regarding mergers, acquisitions, disposals, restructuring and general financial advisory, with duties including:
    • Allocating and monitoring work between Associates and Analysts;
    • Reviewing work product of Associates and Analysts prior to presentations to senior bankers;
    • Speaking with clients, buyers, sellers and investors handling deal and process-related requests;
  • Presentations to clients and significant client interaction at multiple levels, including Board level;
  • Leading oversight of valuation analysis and financial modelling;
  • Reviewing legal documents, credit documentation and negotiating financial term sheets;
  • Overseeing preparation of confidential offering memoranda and other marketing material (Information Memoranda, management and board presentations, etc.);
  • Researching specific companies and industries based on publicly available information;
  • Producing and maintaining various internal databases;
  • Development training and coaching of Analysts and Associates;
  • Developing relationships with new potential clients, particularly as become Senior VP.

Qualifications and Experience: VP’s must be technically skilled with a strong knowledge of corporate finance modelling and analytics, and strong accounting understanding, and qualified candidates typically possess a combination of most or all of the following:

  • Strong undergraduate and graduate academic performance, from a leading university, in Finance;
  • MBA or Masters in Management, from a leading University;
  • Significant related work experience as an Analyst and Associate in the M&A, Restructuring and Financing sector;
  • A strong work ethic and the ability to perform well under pressure;
  • A keen eye for detail, strong numerical ability and logical reasoning;
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex ideas clearly;
  • Demonstrable commercial awareness and a real interest in transactions.
