The Analyst position at Greenhill offers qualified candidates exposure to all aspects of global mergers and acquisitions and corporate restructuring. Due to the size of the Firm, an Analyst position at Greenhill provides outstanding experience and unparalleled exposure to its senior professionals.

Analyst responsibilities include valuing companies using a variety of methodologies, preparing and delivering presentations, conducting research, drafting selling memoranda, analysing business models and participating in due diligence and client meetings.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of client presentations analysing financial information relating to specific companies/industries;
  • Financial analysis and financial modelling of companies, including:
    • Valuation across a range of methodologies;
    • Combination and “merger” analysis;
    • Financing and structuring;
  • Monitoring of client news flow and general business and industry research;
  • Monitoring the financial news using specialist media sources;
  • Assisting with the project management of client mandates, typically advice to corporates regarding:
    • Mergers, acquisitions and disposals;
    • Restructuring;
    • General financial advisory.
  • Supporting and working within live transactions workflow including:
    • Development of potential buyer lists;
    • Supporting preparation of confidential offering memoranda;
    • Preparation of management presentations;
    • Supporting corporate due diligence;
    • Liaising with other professional advisory firms such as accountants and lawyers;
    • Client interaction at multiple levels typically below board level;
    • Other ad-hoc tasks as necessary;
    • Development training and coaching of interns.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Exceptional academic credentials with at least a 2:1 from a leading university, as well as having:
    • A strong work ethic and the ability to perform well under pressure;
    • A keen eye for detail, strong numerical ability and logical reasoning;
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex ideas clearly;
    • Demonstrable commercial awareness and a real interest in transactions;
    • A strong track record of excellence in extra-curricular activities alongside your studies.
