The Business Strategy team under the CSO supports and collaborates with Front Office (FO) and other relevant departments including Departments in Tokyo to define and implement the regional strategy to grow our business for Mizuho EMEA. The primary focus of this role at the outset will be ensuring the smooth operation of the syndication business in EMEA. Depending on performance there may be opportunities to expand responsibilities to include strategic planning for the syndication business and other tasks within the Business Strategy team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the loan underwriting (LCM) pipeline in coordination with the FO.
- Oversee Stress Loss Limit management and monitor underwriting positions including reporting to Tokyo and when necessary coordinating with Tokyo on the limit increase or temporary breaches in a proactive manner.
- Act as the secretariat for the Distribution Risk Committee (the committee reviewing loan underwriting risks) ensuring smooth running of the committee in collaboration with the FO Risk and other relevant departments.
- Other necessary coordination and administrative work with relevant departments (including Tokyo and other regions).
- Monitor market trends related to LCM and DCM through FO interviews and vendor information and prepare monthly reports for Tokyo.
- Provide support to management on other syndication-related tasks from time to time.
