A SWIFT / Fircosoft Application Support Analyst would primarily be supporting Transaction filtering and AML compliance giving a precise view of customers to identify risk. Full support of the SWIFT product suite including BAU maintenance and patching including upgrades. In addition to this, members of the team have to be able to manage the demands of BAU and triage for both 3rd party and in-house applications. Project support is also vital to the role and they have to ensure delivery on time that it is ‘right’ first time. Typically as part of an application support team, the Application Support Analyst needs both good general technical knowledge and the ability to manage change in a complex environment as well as “people” skills to do their job well to enable the team to meet the needs of the business given how interwoven technology and the business world have become.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Message filtering for Transaction filtering and AML requirements giving a precise view of customers to identify risk (Fircosoft) – Primary Duty
- Strong SWIFT Skills particularly around Application functionality, configuration and routing – Primary duty including the following:
- Knowledge and experience in File act, SAG + SAA
- Knowledge for SAG HSM + SNL
- Experience in MX, MT, ISO2002 plus other types of payments
- BAU / Triage – 1st line support to ensure integrity and availability of supported applications for internal and external customers – Primary Duty
- Follow Procedures to resolve service desk tickets
- Plan, prepare and deliver project requirements if required
- Provide Audit and compliance information as requested
- Manage other ad-hoc tasks as and when requested by Management
- Manage service desk requests to ensure SLAs are met
- Prepare system support documentation as required
- Manage Vendor relationships as necessary
- Manage upgrades / patching to ensure supported software is in place
- Manage Communication with Business Ops to resolve issues and provide feedback
- Team members are expected to work a 2 shift system 07:00 start time to cover start of day and 10:00 to provide cover until 18:00
- Team Members will be required to work OOH and cover Bank Holidays
Qualifications, Skills And Experience
- 3 Years plus application support experience - Essential
- Message filtering for AML and Compliance – Essential
- SWIFT knowledge – Essential
- Experience working in a medium-large sized company, supporting at least 1000 users – Essential
- Linux / Windows / SQL, Oracle experience – Exposure
- MQ support / Admin – Desirable
- Financial experience – Desirable
- Back Office Experience – Desirable
- Virtual Environment management – Exposure
- Splunk exposure – Desirable
- Change in complex environments – Desirable
