Head of Subscription Line Financing, Executive Director | London, UK

The Head of Subscription Line Financing is a key role within Mizuho EMEA's CIB Structured Financing Group, leading the continued growth and build out of the established EMEA book to establish Mizuho as funds financing leader in the EMEA region.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead the client origination activities for Subscription lines, partnering with coverage colleagues across EMEA to build bespoke fund financing solutions.
• Act as the primary structuring contact for subscription financing in EMEA, leading pitching activities and driving negotiations with clients and counterparties.
• Act as the senior stakeholder for the subscription line franchise, managing internal and external stakeholders to build a product strategy roadmap.
• Responsible for the development and delivery of subscription line financing product and variants, across EMEA, working to drive product distribution.
• Acting as a first line of defence undertaking transaction risk assessment and supporting internal approval processes.
• Maintain up to date knowledge of market trends, fund structures and regulatory developments.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to the development of best practices across the team.

Dual Hat Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsibilities will straddle both Mizuho International (MHI) and Mizuho Bank (MHBK).
• Adhere to the Dual Hat Policies & Procedures which set out the permitted activities and ensure you conduct yourself accordingly, when acting in a dual hat capacity.
• Responsibility for identifying and resolving where there may be a difference or conflict in needs, between MHI and MHBK, escalating where required.

Dual Hat Authority

• Adhere to the Group's Dual Hat Policies & Procedures, regulatory and compliance obligations and any other applicable policies made available to you, and as updated from time to time.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Bachelors Degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years' direct experience in funds financing Front Office origination & structuring.
• Experience of managing significant subscription line portfolios and preferably sell-down experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Customer-centric career experience.
• Demonstrable ability to innovate, support change and problem solve.
• Collaborative nature to contribute to a successful team performance.
