Senior front-office role responsible for leading the Securitised Products trading desk across secondary trading, primary issuance support and financing portfolio development, with a notable focus on CLOs. The role is accountable for trading performance, risk management, balance sheet deployment and franchise growth, including the development of financing strategies through ownership of underlying collateral.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the Securitised Products trading desk, setting strategy, risk appetite and portfolio positioning.
  • Manage market making, pricing and execution in securitised products in line with client demand and balance sheet objectives.
  • Oversee trading inventories and financing portfolios, including optimisation of underlying collateral.
  • Manage market, credit, and liquidity risks within approved limits and governance standards.
  • Deliver revenue and return targets, with accountability for capital and balance sheet efficiency.
  • Support primary issuance through pricing input, market feedback, investor engagement and distribution strategy.
  • Partner with origination, syndicate, sales and structuring teams to align primary and secondary market activity.
  • Develop financing strategies and secured funding solutions through active management of collateral portfolios.
  • Maintain strong client, investor and internal stakeholder relationships while ensuring high standards of conduct and control.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • Extensive front-office trading experience in securitised products (predominantly CLOs), with a strong record of revenue delivery and disciplined risk management.
  • Proven ability to lead a trading desk or product area, setting strategy and working effectively across front office and control functions.
  • Strong knowledge of ABS, structured credit and related financing markets.
  • Experience supporting primary issuance through pricing, investor engagement and secondary distribution.
  • Strong commercial judgement and disciplined approach to market, credit and liquidity risk.
  • Strong client and investor relationship skills, with credibility in the market.
  • Strong people leadership, with the ability to build and develop a high-performing, well-controlled team.
  • Good understanding of relevant regulatory, conduct and control requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to assess collateral, transaction economics and relative value.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders, clients and control functions effectively.
  • Relevant regulatory certification and professional standing for a senior client-dealing role.
  • Broad product knowledge across structured credit, financing solutions and related fixed-income markets.
