Full-time, Permanent
At Mizkan Euro, we’ve been perfecting flavour for over 210 years, from iconic household names like Branston and Sarson’s to bold new creations that inspire the next generation of taste. We’re now looking for a Development Chef to join our growing New Product Development team, someone who’s as passionate about flavour and creativity as they are about process, collaboration, and bringing ideas to life at scale.
The Role
This is a truly hands-on, end-to-end development role, one that bridges culinary creativity and commercial reality. You’ll lead the recipe development of new and existing products, creating and refining concepts that deliver on taste, authenticity, and manufacturability. From translating briefs into hero dishes to supporting product scale-up and ensuring recipes meet quality and cost targets, you’ll be central to turning ideas into successful products that excite our consumers. You’ll also have the freedom to shape how this new role works, designing processes, documentation and creative ways of working that will define our concept-to-launch approach.
You’ll Be Doing Things Like:
- Creating new product concepts and hero dishes that align with our brand and market direction.
- Translating briefs and consumer insights into recipes that can be scaled for production.
- Working closely with Marketing, NPD, and Factory teams to bridge culinary creativity with technical feasibility.
- Supporting factory trials, ingredient sourcing, and sensory testing.
- Leading rapid prototyping to accelerate innovation.
- Managing your own projects and documentation — from kitchen trials to final specifications.
Who We’re Looking For
You’ll bring:
- Proven experience as a Development Chef in a food manufacturing environment.
- Strong culinary skills, creative flair, and a deep understanding of flavour, texture, and ingredient functionality.
- Excellent communication — able to draw out what Marketing really means and translate that into taste and texture.
- A collaborative, level-headed personality with emotional awareness — someone who thrives in a fast-moving but grounded team.
- A proactive, self-starting approach — ready to help shape how we work as we continue to grow our innovation capability.
- Experience with condiments, sauces, or pickled products is great but not essential — what matters most is your curiosity, adaptability, and ability to deliver outstanding food that scales.
This is an exciting time to join us. NPD has a new, strategic focus across the business, we’re accelerating innovation, moving fast from prototype to commercialisation and putting flavour first. You’ll have the autonomy to shape your role, the support of an experienced team, and the chance to make a real mark in how Mizkan continues to bring flavour to life across Europe.
If you’re an experienced Development Chef ready to take ownership, drive creativity, and be part of something genuinely exciting — we’d love to hear from you. Apply now and bring your flavour to Mizkan Euro.
