The Role

This is a hands-on, technical role where you will be responsible for ensuring all products, processes, and systems meet legal, customer, and certification standards.

  • Maintaining and developing site QMS & HACCP systems
  • Leading and supporting internal and external audits (e.g. BRC, customer audits)
  • Driving food safety and quality standards across the site
  • Managing technical compliance activities including pest control, testing, and calibration
  • Supporting customer requirements, specifications, and technical queries
  • Investigating complaints and leading root cause analysis
  • Delivering training to site teams and embedding a strong quality culture
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with Operations, Procurement, NPD and Commercial teams

What We’re Looking for:

  • Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology or similar (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience within a technical, quality, or compliance role in food manufacturing (ideally 5+ years)
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety systems, allergen management, and traceability
  • Experience with BRCGS, ISO, or major retailer audits
  • Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with retailer technical systems
  • Knowledge of labelling legislation and nutrition
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement tools and root cause analysis techniques
