We are currently recruiting for a CAD/CAM Programmer on behalf of a growing manufacturing business operating within a specialist engineering environment. The role would suit someone with a strong background in sheet metal manufacturing, CNC programming and SolidWorks design who enjoys a hands-on environment working closely with production and technical teams.
The Role
- Producing and maintaining CAD/CAM programs and manufacturing documentation to support efficient production output across both bespoke and standard products.
- This is a varied position combining design, programming and manufacturing support within a fast-paced production environment.
- Producing CAD/CAM programs for manufacturing.
- Creating and modifying SolidWorks drawings and models.
- Programming CNC machinery using TruTops Boost.
- Creating and maintaining BOMs and production documentation.
- Supporting bespoke sheet metal manufacturing requirements.
- Reviewing drawings and ensuring manufacturability.
- Working closely with production and technical teams.
- Supporting continuous improvement within manufacturing processes.
- Assisting with production efficiency and workflow improvements.
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for the role, candidates should have experience within a manufacturing or fabrication environment and demonstrate strong CAD/CAM capability.
