Service Engineer Β£45,000 - Β£53,000 Monday Thursday 8:30am-5pm, Friday 8:30am-4pm UK-wide | Office in Banbury Permanent Were working with a global engineering business that is expanding its UK service operation and looking for a hands-on Service Engineer to join the team. This is a newly created position offering the opportunity to become a key part of the company's growing UK service capability. Youll work across a variety of customer environments, providing installation, commissioning, servicing and fault-finding support across specialist lubrication and fluid management systems. As a Service Engineer, youll provide hands-on technical support to customers, OEMs, distributors and installation partners across the UK. The role will initially involve a mixture of office, training and customer/site-based activity as the UK service function develops, before becoming increasingly field-based. This is a hands-on, field-based role, so you'll need to be comfortable with UK-wide travel, working independently at customer sites, occasional overnight stays depending on workload and flexible start times depending on customer requirements. Responsibilities for a Service Engineer Installing and commissioning lubrication and engineered fluid systems Carrying out planned and reactive service and maintenance work Diagnosing faults and providing practical solutions on customer sites Supporting prototype and first-of-kind installations for OEM customers Working across mobile, off-highway and industrial equipment Recording installation details to support repeatable installation processes and kits Providing technical support and supervision on larger projects Supporting local assembly, testing and pre-delivery validation Carrying out equipment refurbishment, overhaul and replacement work Providing technical training and knowledge transfer to customers and installation partners Supporting fluid filtration and related technical solutions where required Working closely with Sales, Application Engineering, Customer Experience and wider Service teams Key Skills for a Service Engineer Were looking for a practical, hands-on engineer who is confident diagnosing problems and working independently. Hands on experience with installation, commissioning and fault-finding Experience working directly with customers or on customer sites A strong mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic or fluid systems background The ability to diagnose faults and find practical solutions Confidence working independently with minimal supervision Strong communication and customer service skills A willingness to learn new technology and develop your technical knowledge Lubrication systems experience is advantageous, but not essential.
