Are you an experienced HR Business Partner who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment?

Do you enjoy rolling your sleeves up, building strong stakeholder relationships and making a genuine impact on a growing business?

We're recruiting on behalf of an ambitious organisation that is investing heavily in its people function as it continues through an exciting period of growth and transformation.

This isn't a role where you'll inherit polished processes and simply maintain them.

Instead, you'll join a business that's evolving rapidly and needs someone who can bring structure, improve ways of working and become a trusted partner to operational leaders.

You'll take ownership of your own business area, building credibility with managers, navigating challenging stakeholder relationships and providing practical HR support across the full employee lifecycle.

The Opportunity

This is a highly operational HR Business Partner position where you'll quickly become embedded within your business area, gaining a deep understanding of its people, priorities and challenges.

You'll work closely with managers to provide pragmatic, commercially focused HR support, taking ownership of employee relations, recruitment and people initiatives while helping improve HR processes across the business.

No two days will be the same. If you enjoy variety, can confidently manage changing priorities and like being at the heart of a busy business, you'll thrive in this role.

Key Responsibilities for a HR Business Partner

  • Partner with managers across your dedicated business area, becoming their trusted advisor on all people-related matters.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, understanding the challenges within your business area and providing practical HR solutions.
  • Manage a varied employee relations caseload from start to finish.
  • Coach and support managers through complex people matters, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
  • Partner with hiring managers to support recruitment activity, from identifying requirements through to successful appointments.
  • Review, develop and implement HR policies, procedures and best practice to support a growing and evolving organisation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and ways of working, driving continuous improvement across the employee lifecycle.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider People team to support organisational change and transformation initiatives.
  • Use HR data and insights to identify trends and recommend practical improvements that support business performance.
  • Prioritise a varied workload while responding effectively to changing business needs in a fast-paced environment.

About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys being close to the business, building relationships and making a tangible difference.

You'll be comfortable balancing multiple priorities, managing competing demands and adapting quickly in a fast-moving environment.

Key requirements for a HR Business Partner

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (essential).
  • Experience working as an HR Business Partner, or as a Senior HR Advisor who has genuinely partnered with a dedicated business area and operated at Business Partner level.
  • Previous experience within a growing SME and in a fast-paced environment, where you've been hands-on and involved in improving HR processes.
  • Proven experience independently managing a varied employee relations caseload from start to finish, typically handling multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Experience reviewing, creating or implementing HR policies, procedures and best practice.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the confidence to identify opportunities for improvement and drive positive change.

  • 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Buy and sell holiday scheme
  • Enhanced pension scheme
  • Annual discretionary bonus of up to 10%
  • Life assurance (6x salary)
  • Health cash plan
