We are working with a prestigious hospitality business looking for a Senior Meetings & Events Sales Executive to join their sales team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong events background who enjoys working with clients, winning business, and taking ownership of the sales journey from initial enquiry through to event delivery.

As Senior Meetings & Events Sales Executive, you will be responsible for managing and converting enquiries across a busy meetings and events operation, building strong client relationships and ensuring every opportunity is maximised. You will take ownership of enquiries from the initial conversation through to the event itself, creating tailored proposals, conducting client show rounds, managing bookings and working closely with the wider team to ensure everything is delivered accurately and professionally.

This is a commercially focused role where you'll be expected to actively drive conversion, identify upselling opportunities and contribute towards the wider sales and revenue targets of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage meetings and events enquiries from initial contact through to event delivery
  • Qualify enquiries and create tailored proposals based on individual client requirements
  • Conduct professional client show rounds and maximise conversion opportunities
  • Follow up enquiries proactively to drive bookings and achieve sales targets
  • Manage telephone, email and online enquiries throughout the sales process
  • Build strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat and future business
  • Identify opportunities to upsell additional services and maximise revenue from each booking
  • Manage event diaries and ensure pricing remains aligned with commercial strategy
  • Accurately maintain event information, systems, and relevant checklists
  • Provide a clear and accurate handover to the events planning team
  • Meet and greet clients on arrival and support the smooth delivery of their events
  • Keep up to date with competitor activity, facilities, services, and market developments
  • Support proactive sales activity, including lead generation and telesales
  • Monitor sales performance and contribute towards departmental revenue targets

Key Skills:

  • Experience within a similar role within hospitality, ideally within hotels
  • Proven experience converting enquiries and achieving sales targets
  • Strong negotiation and commercial skills
  • Excellent relationship building and customer service abilities
  • Highly organised with an excellent attention to detail
