With ambitious expansion plans, acquisitions on the horizon and a brand-new HR system being embedded across the business, they're investing heavily in their People function and are looking for an experienced HR Advisor to play a key role in that journey.
This is a genuinely varied position where no two days are the same.
You'll be supporting managers, handling employee relations, improving processes, producing HR reporting and helping establish the foundations of a modern, efficient People function.
This is a hands-on operational role.
Alongside advisory work, you'll be happy getting involved in HR administration, maintaining employee data, supporting system implementation and tackling the day-to-day tasks that keep a busy People team moving.
As the team and infrastructure continue to develop, you'll also become involved in wider HR projects, process improvements and business change initiatives, allowing the role to naturally grow over time.
The Role
As HR Advisor, you'll provide broad support across the entire employee lifecycle while helping the business navigate an exciting period of growth and transformation.
- Providing practical HR advice and guidance to managers across a range of employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance cases.
- Supporting managers with day-to-day people matters, ensuring policies and employment legislation are applied consistently.
- Managing HR administration and maintaining accurate employee records, contracts and documentation.
- Supporting the continued implementation and optimisation of the new HR system, including data migration, cleansing and ongoing maintenance.
- Producing HR reports, dashboards and management information to support business decisions and monitor key people metrics.
- Using HR data and Excel to identify trends and provide meaningful insight.
- Assisting with recruitment, onboarding and wider employee lifecycle activities.
- Identifying opportunities to improve HR processes and helping implement more efficient ways of working.
- Supporting wider People projects as the organisation continues to grow and evolve.
About You
- We're looking for an experienced HR Advisor who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and isn't afraid to roll their sleeves up.
- You'll be equally comfortable managing employee relations, completing HR administration, producing reports and supporting business change.
- Previous experience in a broad HR Advisor or HR Generalist role.
- CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience).
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment law.
- Confidence managing employee relations cases with minimal supervision.
- Experience producing HR reports and analysing data using Excel and HR systems.
- Excellent organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a willingness to get involved wherever needed.
We'd particularly like to hear from people who have
- Worked within growing businesses of approximately 600 employees or fewer, where HR is broad, operational and close to the business.
- Supported organisations through periods of growth, change, acquisitions or systems implementation.
- Experience working with HRIS platforms and maintaining accurate employee data.
- Enjoyed improving processes while remaining hands-on with the day-to-day delivery of HR.
